Just watched SD, not bad this week, from the first segment to the last, it was pretty entertaining, great to see how the draft as freshened every aspect of WWE television up.
First we had The V.I.P. Lounge with Triple H as the special guest. A few sour word's for MVP from Trip's, namely that he look's like a Power Ranger in his in ring get up. Very good segment, abit of friction between the two over who set's up the footage of Edge/ Punk from Raw. Footage roll's, Trip's and MVP banter back and forth about how Edge got 'punked' and that CM Punk was 'straight Edged' etc.
This is where the segment stray's away from MVP, Vickie Guererro come's out and Triple H tell's her how he is happy for the couple and what a move it was for Edge to marry the boss (
) and that if the wedding was getting too much for them to cope with, that maybe they should go to Vegas to elope, and that he know's a place where "You dont have to be concious" Ofcourse playing on the HHH/ Steph story line. Abit of banter between Vickie and HHH, leaving MVP looking abit of an arse, on his own segment lol. Abit of teasing Vickie which has her making the main event for GAB Edge/ HHH for the WWE Title.
Next up is a golden dreams match. Michelle McCool beat's Victoria, Kelly Kelly, Maryse, & Cherry so McCool will now face Natalya for the new diva championship title.
Jesse and Festus (in an Uncle Sam get up and everything, kinda make's me wonder what else Jesse dresses him up as... ) going up against the Edge Head's, as punishment for leavcing Edge to lose his title on Raw. Decent squash, Festus whooping arse as per... Afterward's Edge come's out and they desimate a defenceless Jesse and Festus.
Jeffrey vs. John Morrison, a very good match, Morrison looked great, Jeff did his I-get-my-arse-handed-to-me-but-still-manage-to-win routine, but none the less it was a good match, Jeff win's with his Swanton, all I can add to this is that thank God it weren't a pure squash match, for Morrison's sake.
Youmanger vs. Funaki- INDEEEED! Squash from the bell to the erm... other bell. One thing I noticed is that Funaki still has that SD's #1 announcer thing on his entrance video?
The Fatal 4-way for the US Title, very good match, I could at one point see every one, bar Benjamin, picking up the win, Chavo looked good, not normally one to say that 'bout Chavo, but yeah he looked good, Kennedy came out did a nice promo saying he's 'home', he looked alright too, I can see him getting a US title run, if ECW dont keep it when they go with Raw. Matt Hardy picked up the win to retain, they all looked good, but I dunno bout Shelton, he just didn't get in enough it seemed to me.
The last segment featured Edge coming out and talking about how he was blindsided in two seperate cowardly attack's, the second being Punk taking his belt. He goes on to say he wont be without gold for long and at GAB he will become the WWE Champion a third time. A good promo, Edge got major heat.
Vickie come's out and tell's him that it was his own fault and that she dont know what he was thinking, a side note here, as these two go back and forth arguing it's difficult to tell which one has more heat, but I think Vickie take's it- narrowly. Back to point now, after bickering back and forth, Edge say's he dont know what he was thinking either, he walk's up the ramp and tell's her the wedding is off then walk's out to the backstage area, leaving Vickie sobbing on the ramp... and cut!
Apparently there was a Dark Main Event, Triple H and Big Show vs. Mark Henry & Edge. Big Show makes fun of Edge and calls him a baby. Triple H helps Big Show. Edge walks out as Big Show & Triple H get the win. Dont sound too good for the new ECW champ does it?
Anyway, a very good SD, 8.5/10 THOUGHT'S?
