i prefer it to raw some of the time, i cant usualy stand watching it to the end, whereas main event raw bores me so i go to sleep b4 its the main event.

its was shitter than shit though. i wonder if vince saw it

Dunno, Iv not watched a full smackdown for something like a year, I only caught the last 5mins of the main event, I won't be watching the rest after reading this. lol

They have got a lot of talent on Smackdown eg MVP, John Morrison, Elijah Burke, Shelton Benjamin etc and yet they put people who don't even look like wrestlers eg Colin Delaney, Funaki, Nunzio in the main event. If this is a joke, its not funny but I do know what's a joke and that is Smackdown.

Ok so after watching smack down last night I thought maybe the show wasn’t that bad, yeah there’s room for improvement like, but then I read sextons review and I kina see his point however here is my review.

Right so smack down kicks off with La Familla in the ring minus edge. Per usual Vickie gets loads of heat and I mean I hate this Vicky storyline as much as the next mark . But I mean I just find utterly hilarious the way Vickie genuinely gets so mad and shouts EXCUSE ME! Then we get the usual smoochey crap between the two . Then edge goes on about how he is the greatest superstar ever! –hmm don’t over do it hey edge. Then came the prank even though I don’t think even the marks fell for it , I still found this was funny (maybe it was the alcohol) I couldn’t of resisted either though .Then we find out there getting married in 5 weeks time (hmmm yeah that will run smoothly wont it) at least lethal’s in TNA cocbware is going to be there .

Then in comes big Dave Batista yay Batista v Edge again don’t get me wrong he is improving again he was sharp on the mic yet again .Especially when he got mad “ I hope you have weird kids” . If only I knew then that his main event was going to be shit . I thought that the 3 partners would have been nunzio hornswoogle and delany[I knew about delany cause of someone not using a spoiler]

Next up is Finlay v Paluambo

Now this is there 3 match from what I can remember , I mean the first one was average the second one was a quite long technical bout but this 3rd one a no DQ Belfast brawl I expected more from it . It had its highs likes Chuck’s Suplex which was executed perfectly. But then it also had its down moments especially with that Bin I mean that drop kick by Finlay [sorry to sound like a critic] was awful missed by a country mile. Needed more focus on the actual wrestling rather than the bin a 6/7 or something I think is fair.

So know we have the big show coming out all I can say is either their make up crew is brilliant or that’s got to hurt like hell and I think ill go for the latter one. Oh and just as big show got going mark Henry came out and spoke ZZZZZ . Looked like they were going to finally have their showdown DAMN! Now well have to wait for them to wait what a pity .

Then we had deuce and domino v Khali –Enough said

Now we find out that smack down is going to have a women’s title I dnt see the point why not just ship them out to raw and tags to smackdown and for gods sake give ecw the cruiserweights.


Next up was cousin Sal v Santino , this was a utter let down no promo from santino and no humour at all really. Means the whole jimmy kennel thing was pointless. I hope at some point santino faces either Pipper or a step in actual decent superstar.

Then we had a short but quite funny segment with Hornswoogle trying to get his hat. Ah nothing to cheer up better than a midget getting angry.

Next the golden dreams match . I thought surely there’s only one person that can hold that belt meaning Victoria now I realise that Natalia v Victoria feud could be great . But expect someone like Michelle or Cherry to be in it *sigh*.

Then Kozlov squash . Sham really for Jimmy I really like him but without cruiserweight division so many superstars are pointless and I really like Nunzio as well but the same goes for him.

Some short Batista interview going on about limbs :S strange o what?


Then we go to the mainevent which I don’t want to go in to to much detail as im bored and it was utter cack . However I guess this means batista isn’t going on any hollybob sexton.


So smackdown looked promising started off alright but then went down hill dramatically . Hope there aren’t too many spelling mistakes and hope you enjoyed my review thoughts are appreciated also ways to improve future review welcome.

Even though Nunzio, delaney and Funaki were i9n the main event, that match wasn't about them. It was establishing that Edge doesn't ant to face Batitsta, and Vickie is going to load the deck so Dave will have to really battle to get a title match.

I thought that Dave would end up with Layla, kelly Kelly and Michelle as partners, but the 3 he wound up weren't much better. If Vickie had chosen, I dunno, CM Punk, Show and Kane, then it would be seen as easy for Dave to get his title match. Having the jobbers was a smart move - the whole thing about Vickie is that she's doing what's best for Edge, not the fans...

And the heat Vickie got was amazing. I'm beginning to think she's WWE's best heel now.

she does get more heat than al heels added up which i think is genius, and why this is still being focused on so much, but its shit for edge, hes never going to look strong.

i think basicly, if any of us were to enjoy that smackdown, wed have to have been pissed.

anyone notice batista copying flair though

MVP was in a dark match, I am guessing they are just keeping him off TV in any wrestling angle for now which is the biggest hint that he is off to RAW

i think this shows how important the draft could be to Smackdown. It will be make or break for them.

I hope that Mr. Kennedy comes here and maybe Burchill as well to carry on tehir feud, but with Kennedy moving up to the Main Event. Punk will hopwfully join as well as Morrrison. I think we'll say goodbye to batista and hello to Jericho, and I think Mysterio will move to ECw and have the ineveitable underdog feud with either Big Show or Kane. Carlito would be another strong mover and maybe Lance Cade too. As long as none of the changes damge raw or Ecw but help Smackdown it will be a good draft.

Mr Kennedy and Jericho would be a brilliant draft for SMACKDOWN if Edge and MVP were kept on that brand, those four could have brilliant rivalries with each other and all have potential for runs as both faces and heels and be good at them, its not likely to happen though!
