Wrestling World Cup 2008

For those that remember I ran on 606 a World Cup last year that was pretty darn popular.
Well I'm bringing it back for this year.
Some wrestlers have moved on, some have been brought in but the rules remain the same.

Every weekday for the next few weeks I shall post 5 current* wrestlers in a group stage with the top two going through to the knockout stage where it shall be 1 0n 1 with the winner going through**

When the matches are brought up I'd encouraged those that participate to not only vote but to put behind why they voted for said person - what makes Angle better than HHH for example.

The twist this year is that its not only going to be running on here, but the other forum and on the 606 site at the same time. Votes will be added together from all three sites to declare a winner but I will keep tallys of the individual sites to notice patterns (I'm aware that people with accounts on all three could potentially vote three times)

For it to be on the 606 site though I require help as I can only access it at night so if anyone is willing to post up the card on a daily basis around 10am it would be most appreciated.

*current being my ruling of they are on the rosters for either WWE or TNA, ROH is not included purely because for me it's not well known enough for people to make a judged decision, the one exception to my rule is that Undertaker, although considered off the roster at present is included as its a kayfabe removal

**In the event of a draw I shall make a decision on if both wrestlers make it through or it becomes sudden death. I may mix it up to add excitment.

Aye it was always good, don't think I agreed with the eventual winner though. It's a shame the last version got fucked up, with all the shit on the old niceboards basically killing it off.

If this were before his Wellness violation, then I'd be worried that he could win it, as just about everyone seemed to be worshipping the ground he dived off. Nowadays people seem less vocal in their support of him, so we should be safe.

Uhhh! I'm sorry I asked. Although I have to say, I just about pissed myself with laughter when reading that 7WF one.

Wow lots of posts since driving home, eating tea and putting kids to bed.
1. HBK beat Angle in the final last time, that's not to mean that will happen again though, one might get a harder route this time round or they may meet earlier on.

3. yes 606 will be part of it, but, and here's the good part for those on here, if you are on the other forum you get 2 votes, if you still have access to 606, you get three, so you can out vote the 606 marks.
4. Rock & Junior, get a room, after the other day I'm not in the mood for whinging between anyone, just sort it else this time I will smash some heads together!

Sorry Macclads, me and unknownmajer have a problem which started on 606. We will sort it out by PM's instead of spamming up this thread.
