Wrestling World Cup 08 Group D

Nearly half way through the group stages and already some big name wrestlers are through to the knockout stage.

So far through are:

Y2J
HBK
Matt Hardy
Mr Kennedy
Petey Williams
Umaga
Jay Lethal
& Kurt Angle

But also some big names have already been kicked out including the fan favourite *cough* John Cena, Shelton Benjamin, MVP, Finlay and Booker T.

Moving onto today and again I think this could be interesting:

Not really a big fan of any of these but I guess I'll go with Sting.

hes the best on that list and has stood the test of time.

and is well known as a top guy even without wwe.

Still can't say I'm a big fan even though I voted for him, a lot of people like his gimmick, Iv always though it was rather shit myself.

but id like the 4 iv picked to go through without voting 3 times for each.

as they are blatantly the best in those groups.

now when its closer i wont mind, but now sting has to go through if anyone thinks about it.

Gonna go for Sting here. Batista and Hardy are crap, Abyss is just good, and Mysterio is pretty shit these days too. Sting is still managing to put on really good matches at this late stage of his career, and that really says something.

it has no barrings on it. But if offered a hardcore match between Abyss and someone else crazy for the title, or Sting vs Angle for the title, i'd chose Abyss

Even though Sting vs Angle was probably one of the best matches in TNA last year, you would still pick an Abyss match? I mean he is good, but not that good.

Sting vs Angle was great, bad example.

I voted for Mysterio because although Abyss is good, he is not as technically sound as Mysterio if you know what I mean. I think Abyss is only good for hardcore gimmick matches.

I didn't vote for Batista for obvious reasons. Jeff Hardy is just a fucking druggy spot monkey who can't wrestle to save his life and I have only seen 1 Sting match in my life and that was in this year's Lethal Lockdown so I don't think I could vote for him.
