New Title?

There seems to be even less tag teams now than before, and today a further THREE were seperated and with the soon to be demise of Holly and Rhodes there will be very few left

I think its only a matter of time now until the Tag titles are unified and not a moment to soon, however there could be a place for a new title on the early to mid card scene

Everytime someone mentions a new title its always the same old titles that get discussed, Hardcore (24/7 or not) Crusierweight, European and the old TV title, however I would like to see something original set in place and in this day and age I understand original is not an easy thing when you consider almost everything has already been tried and tested!

Here is my idea for a new title

the WWE.com Title

there is say a 16 man tournament and the winner is then announced the champion, the WWE then give us four wrestlers per week to choose from and we have to vote on WWE.com for who we want out of the four of there choosing to face the champ and in what kind of match you would like to see, this means there will be no real storyline to the actual title scene however it will create plenty of different types of matches with plenty of other challengers (no one can be in the four for selection two weeks running) and it would also give more people reason to go onto WWE.com, something Vince has been trying to do in recent months and fair play to Joey Styles he seems to be working his magic in that department!

Not really because Cyber Sunday would still deliver all the big names that this title probably wouldn't as it would be for a early to mid card division, anyway even if it did Cyber Sunday could easily be replaced as a PPV, I don't rate it that highly anyway and would rather see an anual King of the Ring return than Cyber Sunday if I am being honest!

only problem is, marks voting a face every week.

other than that, sound idea. maybe, if you lose, no shot for 2 more weeks? then have all heels vote, etc. a title match every week in varying match styles would be good. hope vince is making his monthly visit to heel-turns soon .

Marks would vote for faces, that I have no doubt about however suggestion is a powerful thing and the WWE give that out to 'marked' fans every week, they would mainly vote for the guys the WWE want them to vote for by giving certain guys more TV time than others or having guys job to random guys and it wouldnt look like they deserve a shot, could also have the champion at the time say who he wants to prove he can beat and things like that!

I think it would be a good way to spice it up as well as get more traffic to WWE.com

I like this idea very much so it reminds from what i have heard about WCW and ECW and thier TV titles but with the interaction from the fan's it could be a new creative way and as i Think you picked up on could be a good launching pad for many a superstar.

Great idea Gaff, that would get the wrestler's majorly over with the fan's and would make alot more future main eventer's.

If they bring an original (to the WWE) title I would like it to be something like the ROH Pure Wrestling title, guarenteed great matches and story's of wrestler's shooting on each other etc.

It's a good idea, and to keep the same people from doing it each week, the looser one week could be barred for a 3 or 4 weeks from taking part, would be a good way to get younger stars over.

what sort of wrestlers would you be aiming at because i doubt the top dogs would be taking part because they're normally involved in storylines, something like this could cover for those shitty playboy promo's and pointless tag matches
