Is this the biggest pop ever.........?

I was watching the Raw 15 year anniversary doc last night and they showed the match in which Mankind wins his first WWF title from the Rock, in this match Austins music hits and he costs Rock the title.
I couldn't believe the pop for Austin, we took it for granted back in the day but NOBODY gets pops like this......

The match is on the Mick Foley Greatest Hits and Misses DVD. I think it took everyone totally by surprise - no-one ever thought a stunt monkey like Foley would ever be World Champ, beating Rocky.

I think it's a combination of complete shock, respect for someone like Foley who's pretty much destroyed himself in his career, taken some horrific bumps finally making it to the top of the business. Throw in DX getting 1-up on McMahon, and the pop is understandably huge.

Biggest ever? Possibly. I'm struggling to think of any bigger...

Im not talking about the pop Foley got for the win, im talking about the pop for Austins entrance, it was so huge and lasted so long that it was still going on during the 3 count so its hard to tell how much of it was pop for Foleys win.

As I said the initial pop for Austin was what im talking about.

The pop when Goldberg beat Hogan in Atlanta was immense as well but I watched that match last night on The Monday Night War DVD and although massive it wasnt as big as the Austin pop.

Yeah its loud when his music hits, but then gets even louder when he actually comes out and stays that way for ages.

this is quite a good pop. not as good as the austin and triple h ones. but its the jericho millenium countdown debut. you can hear the cheers get louder when they see "JERICHO" come on the titan tron and the people who have seen WCW know who it is

After that Trip's video it show's that even before banging Steph, he was popular as fuck with the fan's. You sometime's foget amongst the talk of backstage politic's and the 'WWE family value's' that he does deserve to be where he is...

He was married to steph by then, but HHH has always been over(well not ALWAYS but you know), He was making it to the top with DX before he ever got with steph and was going to win the king of the ring that Austin won.

Yeah, he's due outta rehab soon, on WWE's money, even though he work's for AAA in Mexico... It's crazy to think about it, but he's defo going down that route. I think people got bigger pops then because they deserved it. Nobody in WWE deserves a pop like Stone Cold or The Rock.
