Main Event of WWE

At the moment the top of the pile is; Triple H, Undertaker, Edge, Batista, John Cena, Shawn Micheals, Chris Jericho and CM Punk. Those are the people who I would class as the main eventers. Triple H, Batista, Undertaker and Shawn Micheals are all nearing the end of their careers or at least careers at the top.
In the waiting area to become main event are; Morrison, Kennedy, Jeff Hardy and maybe Benjiman and Matt Hardy. That gives a good mix but who would you say if they had to be pulled up now, who could cope. Are any of those over enough now to be a main event star, if not how long will it take.
Many will proably say Jeff Hardy, although he's always been on the edge, IMO, he's too inconsistent, unreliable and lacks any real mic skills to be a long term main eventer. Kennedy doesn't offer anything different, he's a bog standard guy and atm he seems to be trying to hard for the fans to like him, it's almost unnatural, when it should be naturally and you shouldn't have to shout Kennedy all the time just to get a reaction. Benjiman, is atheltic, and one of the best in the ring in WWE atm, but he lacks the mic skills to get far, the amount of failed pushed he's had makes me wonder if he does have the tools to make it. Matt Hardy is boring. I want to see him turn heel, to feud with Jeff, as a face he's boring and I don't like his mic work, his in-ring performances have dipped IMO from when he was with Jeff pulling off stunts, he can't even do that well any more, I don't think he'll ever make it. Morrison IMO is the only one of those who can pull it off. He's athletic, he's willing to take bumps, and he's good on the mic. All he needs is WWE's backing, to split him from Miz, maybe even similar to Micheals/Jannety (although I think they were face?), then move to Smackdown win a mid-card title and get a push.
You also have Big Show, MVP and The Great Khali who are always there. I like Big Show, he's good on the mic isn't as boring as most big guys in the ring but I don't think he'll ever make it as a top guy and he's also nearing the end, I think? MVP is older than most people think, and if the push is to come it will have to come soon. He's a guy who if WWE back him properly should be able to do well, I think this feud with Hardy could do good for him, as it is a 'major' feud on Smackdown, needs some more build up. But MVP still hasn't been the very good in the ring for awhile now so he'll need to improve to stay as a bona fide main eventer. The Great Khali will IMO always be a main event jobber, they'll build him up as a monster just so their main guy can beat him, so he is no long term replacement.

Who will be the next to step up?

i dont think people like morrison and such should be in the main event scene yet, im sure they could cope but i dont think it would really help there careers at this moment.

If at some stage the older heads move down a division HA HA and help the transition it could work, but i cant see that happening. At some stage HHH should go for the US title instead of the heavyweight title in years to come. Undertaker should have a few big fueds to get people over but not for titles. but if none are prepared to step down like HBK has then it will be a tough time for the up and comers. Plus we have orton anyway for now

Forgot about Orton. But even then once those people mentioned step down, I reckon all will have gone withing 4 years, you only have four, with Jericho nearing the end, you have 4. If people don't start moving up soon we're going to have to put up with repeated matches again just as the WWE is improving. I can see Triple H trying to stay there for a long time. I don't think Morrison should go there now and I said that in the article, he needs to move to SD and win the US. championship by the end of this year or at the most early next year.

what do you think the main event scene will look liek in 3/4 years time?


Could see it being: MVP, Orton, Edge, Christian, Roode, HHH, Cena, some big new monster, Kennedy maybe, morrison , errm jericho if he stays. cant think of many more :/

If the people who should step down do, and the people who should improve do I think you have a good main event.

Obviously undera different gimmick, but he's big he's good in the ring, he won't need to be good on the mic. Although the storyline wasn't that good he did well as Imposter Kane so I think he could pull of the monster role well.

Edge is gonna be up there for years to come, eventually id love to see a feud between him and morrison, could really get morrison over as a main eventer.

Although I enjoy watching Umaga and I think he has talent, I just don't think WWE will ever push him a legitimate main eventer. He'll always be the monster, like The Great Khali they'll build him up as a really strong guy and then have him beaten by their top guy.
How old is AJ, he seems to have been around for awhile?
I can't see Matt Hardy pushed to the top level or if he gets there I can't see him staying there for long.
Don't trust J Hardy, I can see him lasting 2 years at the most, before being fired. Too unreliable.
I agree with the rest. I think WWE will definatley get Christian and Samoa Joe at some point. If RTruth is young I can see him being a main eventer.
WWE will always have a monster IMO, and there more I consider it the more I like the idea of Festus being that guy. He could grow his hair long start wearing a different costume and he has the skills in the ring to play the big monster well.
I missed someone out of mine and that is Kennedy. I think WWE will want to push Kennedy, he's their style. And with so many people singing his praises I can see a push in the next 2 years, and if this is the main event in 4 years time I think theres a strong chance he'll be there.

Can't wait for him to get to MSG, and be booed out the building.

I agree with you here, I think they'll push him and push him hard. They'll try and make him a superman and people will boo him more than Cena.
