The computer problems thread.

i will try it dude don't worry when do you have to submit it, i have done something less complex than that in O level before(last year)

i have till 29th of april to submit it amongst 6 other programs

and im using VB.NET

fixed it hans. i restructured it and its working now

Does anyone know what the best anti virus programme is? I mean the best value for money by the way. I was thinking of getting Norton 2008 or the new AVG but are there any more you could recommend and how much do they cost? Thanks.

i use symmantec antivirus. its quite good, i dunno how much it is, coz i got mine for free

Don't get Norton its useless, I have it and had a shit load of virus's and the only way I could clean my computer was to download a FREE 30 trial of AVG.

£70 and it couldn't even deal with something a free one could.

symmantec is a really good antivirus, its one of the worlds leading AV software. im surprised you never heard of it.

fortunatly for me, my university offers a MASSIVE selection of software to download for free to its students.

thats why my PC is packed to the rafters with loads of cool software

i uses ad adware personal for the spyware and i uses zone alarm pro for the firewall

what software do you have pablo

I have got Sophos but it never updates. Even when you try and do it yourself, it doesn't update. What about McAfee? I heard that was good.

use mcafee bazz or ad adware

iv got the macromedia studio 8 package, which is:

Contribute - not used it yet
Flash - create flash games, vids etc
Fireworks - image editing. exactly the same as photoshop
Dreamweaver - web development software

i also have
VB.NET 2003 - programming
Symmantec Antivirus - antivirus lol
Macromedia Director - create and direct movies
3DS Max 7 - Create 3D models for movies/websites
Microsoft Office 2007

no sorry bazz, i knew symmantec is made with norton etc. but mine is just symmantec. thers no norton branding on it anywhere
