Game Rules
The Virgin Media Fantasy Football game is based on the 2008 European Football Championships.
Players will score points based on all matches played in the tournament. The game will start from the group matches which commence on Saturday 7th June 2008 and will run through to the final played on Sunday 29th June 2008.
How to Play
The Virgin Media Fantasy Football game is FREE to play.
You may only enter 1 FREE team per entrant. Any entrant found to have entered more than 1 team will be disqualified and removed from the game.
To enter a fantasy football team you must select 11 players within your budget of 75 stars. Teams must then be submitted to score points in the game. You can either manually pick a team using your footballing know-how, or use the ‘Lucky Dip’ option, where the computer picks a team for you.
Important: Up until 17.00 (UK time) on 6th June 2008 there is a transfer amnesty - you can shuffle your team around to your heart's content without using any of your transfers. Transfers made after the transfer window closes will be taken from your transfers allocation for the game.
The transfer window closes at 17.00 (UK time) on 6th June 2008. All teams which are complete when the transfer window closes will be automatically submitted. Any team incomplete at this deadline must manually submit their teams, and will not score points until they do so. Teams will not score points until the next matches after they are submitted.
You may register teams at any time before or during the tournament. Any teams registered before the transfer amnesty closes will start scoring points at the 7th June 2008. Any teams registered once the tournament has started will only score points from the date the team is submitted. Any transfers made once teams are submitted will count against your daily transfer allocation.

Transfer Deadlines
All transfers must be made by the published time of kick-off for any match.
Only those players named in the starting line up at the published time of kick-off will score fantasy points for that match. That means you can transfer players out once a match has kicked-off and you will still score points.
Players will only score points from the time/date they have been transferred into your team. Time of transfers will only be recorded as per the server clock (displayed in the top right hand side of the screen). We will not enter into discussion about times of transfer, or backdate points for any reason.
Joining Dates
You can join the game at any point throughout the tournament. However you will not score points until your team is submitted.
Mini - Leagues
Every single team is automatically entered into the overall "World League". However, you can also enter your team into a private Mini-League to challenge your friends and colleagues.
To do this just log on to your team and visit ‘Mini-League Admin’ under the ‘League’ section of the website.
You can join up to 10 Mini-Leagues however you can only be the 'chairman' of 1 Mini-League. Once you have joined a Mini-League you cannot be moved or deleted so choose your leagues carefully!
The 'League of Leagues' competition can only be entered by Mini-Leagues who qualify with the minimum number of 10 teams. You may register your mini-league up until 16th June at 23.59 (UK time), which is day 10 of the competition. Any Mini-Leagues entered after this date, or do not have the minimum required number of teams will not qualify for entry into the 'League of Leagues'.
