Wrestlers Salaries

Im certain this must have been done before, but anyone know what kind of a salary a wrestler gets paid?

I've been told Cena gets a basic salary as well as a cut of the sales from merchandises that he promotes. What would someone like HHH, Undertaker on one end of the spectrum and Nunzio, Funaki on the other side get?

Also TNA make losses mainly due to them paying stars shit load of money, how much would stars such as AJ Styles, Angle, Samoa Joe get compared to their WWE counterparts

Yeah they get a basic salary but on top of that will get PPV bonuses and a cut of merchandise.

I couldn't tell you what they get these days to be honest, but I know that in Stone cold's best year he earned 15mill.

It was "reported" that Kurts deal with TNA was something like $800,000 a year, but that's paid by spike TV and not TNA.

Basic salaries:

Angles salary is paid for by Spike TV and is thought to be $1.5 mill, slightly more than sting.

HBK apparently has the best deal in all of wrestling, only the big house shows (1 per month) tv in US/UK only (raw) and he's on about $4 million dollers

Cena in 2007 took home about 5 million, same as taker and HHH but when merch and ppv bonuses were taken into account this rose to about 9 million.

Biggest year earners ever were.....Hogan in 1997-98 12 million (inc films)
Austin in 1999-2000 14 million Rock in 2002 14 million (inc film)
Goldust in 2003 £8.50)

$100,000-$249,000 per year

In this wage bracket are such wrestlers as Jacqueline, Too Cool, Viscera & Midian. Each of these earns in the neighborhood of $200,000 a year.


$250,000-$499,999 per year

This is what most mid-card wrestlers in the WWF earn. In this bracket are Mark Henry ($300,000 per year until 2006), Taka Michinoku ($250,000) , X-Pac, Val Venis, Road Dogg & Chris Jericho.


$500,000-$999,999 per year

This is what some of the bigger stars in the WWF earn. In this bracket are Mankind, The Undertaker & HHH. Also in this bracket is The Rock ($600,000 a year 'downside' until 2005) but his actual earnings exceeded $2 million in 1999.


$ 1 million + per year

These are the big money earners in wrestling. In this bracket are Big Show ($1 million per year until 2009), Ken Shamrock ($1.1 million per year until 2001) & Steve Austin earned over $6 million in 1999.

what is with the goldust one cause if i remember correct they were trying to build a big Goldust storyline involving him and Booker where he would turn heel and remove all the gold shite and just be Dustin Runnels but he got injured so they just had Evolution Fuck him at and electric box instead of him screwing Booker out of the tittle which booker was due to win at that Mania against HHH
