TNA's Kaz

According to the TNA website Kaz has been granted a release from his contract, whats strange about the story however is that Kaz will appear on Impact this week and explain why he has asked to eb released.
One of two things is happening, Russo is trying to book another worked shoot angle or two, Kaz HAS asked for his release and TNA are trying boost the ratings by having him appear on Impact and explain it, neither option will do anything for TNA,Kaz or the ratings but my guess is it's option 1.

no wonder kaz is leaving. he busts his hump week in week out and does everything there is to do. and TNA repay him back with fuck all.

As noted earlier tonight, Frankie "Kaz" Kazarian is apparently departing from TNA, at least according to their official website. He requested his release from the company this morning. However, he has agreed to fulfill his upcoming dates with TNA before parting ways with the company. In a weird deal, and probably a first in professional wrestling, Kaz will be commenting on his decision to leave TNA on the premiere edition of the "Karen's Angle" interview segment on iMPACT! this Thursday. While this is merely speculation, it looks like this could possibly be a "worked-shoot" angle to generate interest/attention in Kaz, so we shouldn't jump the gun on him really leaving the organization quite yet. For one, TNA hardly ever posts notes regarding departures from the company. The only departure they have announced this year is that of "Wildcat" Chris Harris. Secondly, him apparently doing an angle after making a decision to leave the company is quite peculiar. And probably the key reason showing that this deal may be a work is that the "Karen's Angle" interview segment should have been taped at last week's iMPACT! tapings when they had all the talent and production people together. The TNA site is saying he requested his release today, and will be on her show later this week. If that's the case, they'd have to fly both Karen & Kaz in to some remote location, as well as their production people, put together her fancy set for the show, and film it, this week. TNA really only films stuff for television if they're showing say, Eric Young touring a city, and other candid looking stuff, where they only need a cameraman or two, and not a big production staff. One key thing to look for in the segment is if Karen wears the same one strap black dress she wore on iMPACT! last week in a vignette plugging the upcoming show. If so, it would appear that Kaz's segment was taped beforehand, and that this is all a work. Also keep in mind that when Kaz came to the ring at a Sunday night house show he wasn't smiling at all and looked really pissed off. Anyway, stay tuned to this story because there appears to be more than meets the eye.

It would be stupid for him along with many of the x divsion wrestlers to leave. Where are they going to go? WWE who no longer have a cruiserweight title.

well if it is all just a work, this better lead him on to bigger and better things because hes been at the same place for years and i bet that can only frustrate him

I think its a spoiler as well did he not have a mini push not so long ago think he got a world title shot as all of the management were chuffed with his work ethic

YEAH...HE WAS DOING VELOCITY. After every match he would take the microphone and declare himself the future.

He was picking up a couple of wins as well, don't know why he left.

Wasn't Kaz running with a depression storyline recently?

I think TNA are going to try and copy the 'Chavo retires' storyline.

I can see where TNA are going with this and it will be an obvious worked shoot along the lines of "I lost TNA the world X-Cup and let everyone in TNA down" (or something similar).

I was just about to say the same thing Worthy, they are just playing off him losing the X Cup if anything. Especially after reading what Macc posted, it does seem like a work. Maybe there giving some time off, repackage him and have him come back main eventing, or maybe turn heel, or just come back with a curry man-esque mask

The thing I read this morning is that the story line is going to be based around his deep unhapiness about always loosing all of the big matches he is in.

TNA have been trying to sell a Kaz is depressed storyline, he will go away and 'find himself' then come back.

It reminds me of the 'Shawn lost his smile' crap the WWF pulled about 12 years ago!

What I would say though if this was serious then the WWE should get him signed up ASAP!

He reminds me of a Curt Hennig type performer

I like his style I would sign him up in a shot but untill we get split brands PPV I just think he would be lost in the mire like so many others

Not so sure, I definitely think he is the type of character that Vince would look to push to the high midcard ASAP with the view to getting him to the main event!

He is the type that Vince would push, the guy that is good enough has a decent look, great in the ring and someone a rival company just didn't pull the trigger on

i like kaz, despite his lack of real mic ability, he's good.

I like how he looks like a clean cut Scott Hall, thats all.

You know what, he does, I was going to say that when I wrote Hennig but decided against it, he does remind me of a younger Scott Hall, like Razor without the stuble

You know when I first saw this on the news sites today, I was shocked, but looking at all the factors involved it has to be a worked shoot. Now as bad as these things almost always are, it at least looks like Russo is serious about pushing Kaz, as he considers these type of angles to be really big ones. Hopefully Kaz's popularity wont drop any from this, as I would really like to see him succeed.
